Navigating the unique vulnerabilities and challenges faced in refugee settings, our initiative centers on addressing and eradicating gender-based inequities and violence.

  • Advocate for Gender Equality:

    Objective: Elevate the status of women and marginalized gender groups within refugee communities.

    Approach: Conduct community dialogue sessions, engage male allies, and collaborate with local leaders to promote gender-equitable norms and practices.

  • Female Education:

    Objective: Ensure every girl child has access to quality education.

    Approach: Set up dedicated educational facilities for girls, offer scholarships, and run awareness campaigns emphasizing the importance of girls' education.

  • Sexual Violence:

    Objective: Combat and prevent instances of sexual violence.

    Approach: Establish safe reporting mechanisms, offer psychological and medical support for survivors, and run educational workshops on consent and personal boundaries.

  • Domestic Violence:

    Objective: Offer protection and recourse against domestic violence.

    Approach: Provide safe shelters for those at risk, conduct community mediation sessions, and link survivors with legal aid resources.

  • Female Genital Mutilation (FGM):

    Objective: Eradicate the harmful practice of FGM within refugee communities.

    Approach: Organize sensitization workshops, empower community leaders to stand against FGM, and offer medical and psychological support for affected individuals.
